 Take your career to the next level as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiology Department at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where you’ll provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. The cardiology unit is a great place to sharpen your skills for medical surgical nursing or advance within unit to progressive care, cardiac step down. You’ll have the opportunity to provide post procedure management for patients including angiogram, TAVR, watchman, mitral clip, ICD, and pericardial window, as well as learning how to prepare an open-heart surgery patient hours before the procedure!

This is a 36 hour/week, night shift position; three -12 hour shifts from 1830-0700. Hourly compensation starts at $42.59 but increases with experience.

Requirements:

  • Current Washington RN licensure required by date of hire.
  • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required by date of hire.
  • RN experience required unless designated for the New Grad Residency Program.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.​

Physical/Cognitive Requirements: work requires active physical exertion up to 33% of the time; ability to lift objects weighing 80 lbs or less; work requires frequent exposure to minor cold, heat, poor ventilation or sharp instruments; reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids once per month or more; and duties require the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail (more than 65% of work time).
