Job Description


PeaceHealth is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for Contracts.

The Assistant General Counsel for Contracts is responsible for providing a variety of legal services in support of PeaceHealth including its operating units, subsidiaries and related organizations.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provides guidance and counsel with regards to legal transactions affecting PeaceHealth.
  2. Drafts, analyzes and provides advice regarding contracts and regulatory matters affecting the healthcare operations of the organization.
  3. Prepares, reviews, and edits legal documents and filings.
  4. Participates in training outreach on legal issues.
  5. Conducts legal research and analysis.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Juris-Doctorate from an accredited law school Experience/training: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a health care related setting.
  • Litigation experience desired.
  • Knowledge of healthcare law, corporate law, and business transactions law.


  • Admission to state bar association required.

  • Technical proficiency in Word and database management.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.
