PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center Outpatient Therapy is seeking a Clinical Specialist Rehab - Outpatient Therapy for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. 

Hourly compensation is $43.16 - $64.75; hiring rate dependent on qualifications and professional experience.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for evaluation, treatment, plan of care direction, and goals of patients referred for therapy overseeing any care delegated to assistants or students. Provides supervision to aides and volunteers. Works in the area of specialty and serves as a resource for colleagues and students in one or more areas of clinical expertise. Acts as a liaison with referral sources and community partners for program growth and development, quality monitoring and marketing in area of expertise.

Position Details

  1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients referred, utilizing knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span. Continually demonstrates advanced clinical problem solving and skills in the treatment plans. Documentation adheres to all compliance and timeframe standards.
  2. Works with manager and/or coordinator to develop enhanced clinical offerings in area of specialty, including referral development, referral relations, promotion, patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  3. Initiates or participates in performance improvement activities designed to identify and resolve problems affecting patient care outcomes and improve quality of care within area of expertise.
  4. Develops resources, protocols, and policies in area of identified expertise and shares with department. Presents in-services and skill training for staff and students. Mentors interested staff and students in area(s) of expertise.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 4 year degree in PT/OT from accredited program OR
  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in SLP from ASHA accredited program
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in relevant setting.
  • Current licensure as required by State of Washington for clinical practice for Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist is required.
  • Basic Life Support through American Heart Association certification is required.
  • Certification or advanced training certificate in area of expertise required.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment is required.
  • Excellent teaching/mentoring skills with ability to serve as a clinical role model are required.

LONGVIEW PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires active physical exertion 34% to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing over 80 lbs.
