PeaceHealth is seeking a Manager Accounts Payable for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

The Manager, Accounts Payable is responsible for the operations of the AP office and AP staff, and for the day-to-day operations of Accounts Payable. This position will be responsible for the supervision of assigned staff.

Details of the position:

  • Develops, monitors, and implements accounting policies, procedures, activities, and improvements which enhance the overall practices and fiscal operations.
  • Supervises assigned staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, corrective actions, maintaining work schedules, authorizing time off requests, and performance evaluations. Analyzes resource requirements of the department and develops recommendations for staffing levels with supporting justification documentation.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day work of assigned areas, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, auditing, analysis, and reconciliation of accounts. Ensures compliance with PeaceHealth policies, procedures and Federal & local regulations.
  • Assists with business plans, projects, and conducts financial analysis. May represent Accounting on various project teams.
  • Assists with monthly closing of A/P system and financial statement reconciliation.
  • Assists with audits and works with key stakeholders to ensure financial systems run efficiently and effectively.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of financial monitoring system for standards of refinement, performance monitoring and monthly profit/loss.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or equivalent, or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the incumbent with the requisite knowledge, skills and ability to successfully perform the job.
  • Five years accounting experience is required.
  • Two years supervisory experience is required.

Other skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting theories and principles.
  • Healthcare accounting experience is desired.
  • Ability to work long hours during critical times

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional customer relationship and communication skills.
