PeaceHealth is seeking a Audio/Visual Technician for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.  Hourly compensation starts at $23.42, more depending on experience.


Coordinates audio visual systems in a variety of group communication spaces. Coordinates functions including system design, installation, equipment use, repair, troubleshooting, training and the creation of future technology roadmaps. Provides audio-visual support for meetings and other events in conference and training rooms. Provides technical assistance, set up, testing, troubleshooting and ensures all equipment is in proper working order.

Details on the position:

  • Assists in the design and development of audio, visual, and data conferencing solutions. Provides cost-effective and user-friendly solutions for integrated conference room build-outs.
  • Maintains a preventative maintenance schedule for all assigned conference rooms to avoid the failure of audio-visual equipment and systems.
  • Provides quick and customer-friendly service to all customers seeking audio-visual assistance, maintenance, or support.
  • Designs and implements A/V related training programs and supporting documentation to include quick start guides and user manuals.
  • Sets up and monitors multi-site video and audio conferences using Polycom series equipment. Interfaces with IT to assist with the development of audio and video standards and has a working knowledge of network topography.
  • Answers inquiries concerning the use of audio-visual equipment including: microphones, speakers, control systems, projection screens, fixed/ceiling mounted projectors, video monitors, video conferencing equipment, A/V cabling, and lighting.
  • Works with equipment vendors to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintains inventory of audio-visual equipment, suggest repair, storage or replacement of equipment.

What I bring:

  • Associates degree in computer science or related technical field of study preferred. May substitute equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Audio/Visual Technician.
  • Experience with the following:
  • Polycom – CMA/DMA, RPSM, RPAD, SBC, CSS & WSP
  • RealPresence Desktop, VSX & HDX Endpoints
  • AMX, Crestron and Extron
  • Microsoft Skype for Business, Lync
  • Audio equipment such as microphones, speakers, control systems, audio mixers, power sequencing, amplifiers, video scalars, etc.
  • CTS – Certified Technical Specialist preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Lync/Skype required.
  • Familiar with current and emerging video technologies for displays and projection systems and is able to articulate what technology is appropriate for each presentation space.
  • Familiar with audio-visual control systems such as: Polycom, AMX, Crestron and Extron.
  • Skilled in repair, maintenance, and testing of audiovisual equipment.
