PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center is seeking an experienced outpatient Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join a vibrant multi-disciplinary team to provide warm hearted care in Longview, WA. PeaceHealth is passionate about growing palliative care for the communities geriatric patients and their families. This opportunity is 45 miles north of Portland and 120 miles south of Seattle. • Schedule: Monday - Friday with no after hours call

• Opportunity to build and grow Palliative Care practice

• Advanced care planning, Power of Attorney discussions and support from multiple trained staff

• Collaborate with a on-site Palliative Care NPs, multidisciplinary team, and a primary care team of close to 40 providers

• On-site: Bioethicist, Advanced Care Planning Coordinator, Pharmacist, Phlebotomist, Medical Social Workers, Behavioral Health Support, Chronic Care Coordinator team and digital x-ray.

• Provider preference Medical Assistant

Experience, License & Certification Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.

  • Licensed to practice in the state as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Washington
  • Hospice and Palliative Care Certification for Nursing required.

  • ANCC/AANP certification required. (ANP-Adult Nurse Practitioner; ARNP-Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, FNP-Family Nurse Practitioner or GNP-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner)
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
  • Have national prescriptive drug privileges with a DEA number.
