PeaceHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide (Dishwahser) - Nutrition Services for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Variable position. Hourly compensation is $16.86 - $25.27; hiring rate dependent on qualifications and professional experience and/or terms of Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing diversified duties in the kitchen and the tray line.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure dishware, flatware, pots and pans are clean and sanitized. Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of dish room and carousel.
  • Assists in assembly of patient food trays on tray line.
  • Deliver and retrieves patient food carts to patient floors. Delivers floor stock to patient floors.
  • Stocks small wares in cafeteria server.
  • Checks and records dish machine temperatures in HACCP log.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Related experience preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Valid Food Handler’s Card

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Basic computer/keyboarding skills

ST JOSEPH PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion at least 66% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 75 lbs. or less.
  • Work requires frequent exposure to skin or lung irritants; extreme cold or heat; sharp instruments such as kitchen knives, scalpels, etc.; or dangerous equipment.
  • Job duties occasionally require the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail (less than 34% of work time).
  • Operates motor vehicle on urban roadways up to 25% of each day.
