PeaceHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

Hourly compensation is $29.48 - $44.22; hiring rate dependent on qualifications and professional experience.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

Under the direction of the Director Pharmacy Services, this position provides operational oversight and administrative supervision of the Pharmacy Technicians and is responsible for effective and collaborative leadership for assigned staff. Collaborates with licensed pharmacist oversight as appropriate.

Responsible for monitoring the overall services, developing quality and performance indicators, gathering data for analysis as well as ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources. Staffing and scheduling.

DETAILS OF THE POSITION:

1. Links mission into day-to-day work, focuses on meeting organization/departmental targets, monitors budget variances and recommends or develops plans for improvement, assures regulatory compliance.
2. Recommends selection of staff, monitors and evaluates performance and accountability of pharmacy technicians. Evaluates competence and initiates performance improvement plans to develop pharmacy technicians, provides meaningful and constructive feedback in consultation with licensed pharmacist oversight as appropriate.
3. Works with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services, and operations of the department.
4. Supervise pharmacy technician staff, including assisting the Director or Pharmacy Manager with hiring, firing and staff evaluations/performance management in consultation with licensed pharmacist oversight as appropriate.
5. Coordinate daily activities and workflow of assigned staff. Manage day-to-day operations, delegate tasks or projects, and assure adequate staffing to meet patient load. This includes developing monthly schedules for Pharmacists and Technicians and managing time off requests.
6. Oversee technical training and staff development and evaluate the level of technician performance and competency in consultation with licensed pharmacist oversight as appropriate.
7. Assure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as organizational/departmental policies and procedures in consultation with licensed pharmacist oversight as appropriate.
8. Provide leadership and supervisory guidance in quality improvement efforts.
9. Contribute to and facilitate in the planning and achievement of departmental objectives including implementation and compliance.
10. Participate in budget planning and monitoring.
11. Complete weekly payroll process and associated paperwork as required.
12. Lead or assist staff meetings as appropriate.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

• Minimum of three years previous Pharmacy experience required.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• State Board of Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Pharmacy Technician certification required, PTCB preferred.

OTHER SKILLS:

• Proficient in the use of computers including MS Office applications as well as technical software used in the Pharmacy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient reading and writing skills. Basic algebra knowledge.
• Ability to work well with others, make decisions, problem solve and delegate
