PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington is seeking a Transporter - Patient Transport for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Variable position. Hourly compensation is $16.58 – $26.37; hiring rate dependent on qualifications, professional experience, work location, and/or terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients, supplies, specimens and equipment through the facility.

Details about the position:

1. Transport patients by schedule and on request utilizing escort or wheeled transport equipment.
2. Transport materials such as supplies, specimens, records, linen, trash, confidential documents and equipment.
3. May be responsible for conference room set-up including equipment and patient care equipment transfers.
4. May clean wheeled transport equipment as needed.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• Entry level position. Prior patient care experience preferred.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.
• American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider certification required upon hire.
• Good customer service skills.
  
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.

• Must be fully vaccinated or exempted for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date. PeaceHealth has a medical and religious exemption request process for those that are unable to receive the COVID-19 primary vaccine series due medical/religious reasons.
