PeaceHealth – Longview Radiologists is seeking a Multi-Modality Technologist to perform procedures in multiple modalities including MRI, CT, Diagnostic Xray and/or Ultrasound. The ideal applicant will be able to work independently and registered in 2 modalities, or at a minimum, be registered in 1 modality by date of hire, and be registry-eligible and able to obtain registry in a second modality within 6 months of hire.

This is a Per Diem/Relief,0.00 FTE, Variable position. Hourly compensation is $37.85 – $65.35 ; hiring rate dependent on qualifications, professional experience, and/or work location.

Responsible for performing all routine and specialized MRI, CT, Diagnostic X-ray and/or Ultrasound procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information. Must have advanced knowledge of image quality and patient positioning across multiple modalities.

Details about the position:

  1. Performs examinations and other patient care activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers’ scope of practice, training, experience and license/certification/registration.
  2. Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history and medical records to optimize exam.
  3. Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary.
  4. Provides patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Provide training/education to staff and students as indicated.
  5. Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems. Recognizes and ensures additional study and examination techniques are applied when abnormalities are present.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology program required or equivalent education and/or experience as required for obtaining certification/license/registration as required by State for clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency of radiologic, MRI, CT and/or ultrasound practices, procedures, physiology, and human cross sectional anatomy.
  • PACS/RIS knowledge is required.
  • Must be registered in 2 modalities (e.g X-ray, MRI, CT, and/or Ultrasound), or be registry-eligible and able to obtain registration in the second modality within 6 months of hire.
  • Certification/Registration/Licensure as required by the State for trained modalities.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
