PeaceHealth is seeking a Dir Philanthropy for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $52.23 – $78.35. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Responsible for managing all aspects of major gift fundraising, including campaigns and works in collaboration with the network CDO and other leaders, staff, and volunteers to identify and classify prospective donors and ensure the implementation of timely cultivation and solicitation strategies. Responsible for managing major gift staff as well as maintaining the major gift prospect pipeline, plan, and timeline, fundraising progress reports, and goals, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities in support of fundraising goals and priorities.

What you will enjoy:

  • Developing and executing a systematic, strategic plan to diversify, strengthen and increase the funding base and develop new sources of funding, for both capital campaign and other major gift initiatives.
  • Working with staff, leadership, and volunteers to create and manage campaign/major gift initiatives prospect portfolios and to develop cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Developing ongoing relationships with key prospects and donors and carries a portfolio of high-value donors.
  • Providing monthly and bi-weekly reports regarding fundraising goals and initiatives and progress to the network CDO. Regularly engages in strategy development and foundation oversight in partnership with foundation leader. Provides back-up when foundation leader is unavailable.
  • Overseeing and advising on briefings and strategies for key leaders involved with principal and major gift donors and prospects.
  • Managing all major gift fundraising staff and is responsible for hiring decisions and oversees performance process.
  • Coordinating all necessary campaign/major gift meetings with all key stakeholders which may include campaign council, volunteers, community members and hospital stakeholders.

 What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in major and principal gift experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
  • CFRE certified, or willingness to achieve CFRE fundraising certification within the first two years of employment.
  • Background in capital campaign development for healthcare preferred.
