Position: Northwest Network Director Service Lines Behavioral Health

Location: Multiple Worksites in Bellingham, WA (occasional work from home permitted)

Duties: Plan, develop, and implement and evaluate trauma informed, evidence-based patient care programs for behavioral healthcare, services and practice models including identification of business objectives, capital and other resource needs, expected operating revenues and expenses, allocation of space and organization of program personnel and other operation components. Provide leadership for operational effectiveness, clinical excellence and personnel management. Supervise clinical leads and staff for assigned services and programs across multiple geographies and multiple departments. Lead all hospital behavioral health-related services and co-lead associated PHMG clinics. Create and monitor infrastructure, systems, processes and standards to achieve desired outcomes in collaboration with medical directors, leadership, department chairs and medical staff. Provide fiscal and business planning for revenue enhancements and cost efficiency. Develop, implement, and monitor operating and capital budgets. Develop strategic and long-range plans for the effective implementation and operation of specific patient care programs and associated activities with system service line leaders. Direct recruitment, training and evaluation of personnel to encourage and maintain diversity and cultural competence and accountability. Establish work plans and priorities for caregivers and take corrective action as needed. Identify and pursue opportunities within all sectors of behavioral healthcare care delivery (primary care, specialty, hospital, schools, home health) for effective integration of evidence-based, high quality behavioral health services, and lead transition to value-based integrated care models. Implement and support clinical processes for evidence-based care and patient safety. Ensure regulatory compliance. Monitor, communicate, and work to improve patient, physician and staff satisfaction Represent the network service line through the System Operating Council (OC) to plan, develop, implement and evaluate new patient care programs and practice models including identification of clinical objectives, capital and other resource requirements, expected operating revenues and expenses, allocation of space and organization of program personnel and other operation components. Create effective outreach programs to meet the needs of patients in secondary and tertiary market areas. Provide leadership to support continuous improvement efforts for clinical excellence, revenue enhancement and cost efficiency. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships. Assist clinical team in crisis situations to provide trauma informed clinical interventions in coordination with the treatment team.Travel to multiple worksites in Bellingham and regional, domestic travel (approx. 2.5%) to other PeaceHealth sites required. Occasional work from home permitted.

Salary from: $150,000 to $200,000 per year

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Master's degree in a Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Health Science, Mental Health, Nursing or closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted), and

Experience: 7 years’ experience as a Director Behavioral Health, Program Director, Clinical Nurse, Psychiatric Nurse, Instructor, or similar position in mental health setting

Skills/Requirements:

  1. 7 years' experience working in behavioral health services or sciences
  2. 7 years’ experience developing collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organization
  3. 5 years of clinical supervisory and administrative management experience
  4. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
  5. Employment will be contingent upon passing background check, reference check and drug test and proof of compliance with any PeaceHealth COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement Policies in effect at time of application.
