Become a part of PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center's new Neonatal Care team! St. John Medical Center is seeking two experienced full time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in beautiful Longview, Washington. The Nurse Practitioners will respond to the newborn population needs, in the inpatient setting, and work in collaboration with Family Medicine with Obstetrics Physicians, OBGYN’s, and Pediatricians at St. John Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have Neonatal certification and three to five years of Neonatal Nurse Practitioner experience. If you are someone who thrives in the great outdoors but enjoys quick access to big city amenities, St. John Medical Center could be a great place for you! 

Highlights about the practice:

• Core Functions:
• • Rounding on all newborns on a LVL II Nursery
  • Respond to neonatal resuscitation (including intubation) for all deliveries
  • Manage and have oversight for other newborn conditions that are currently transferred out for, thus, keeping all revenue within Longview and families together, as intended.
  • Phototherapy, IV glucose support, IV antibiotics, and Short duration CPAP
  • Neonatologist Telemedicine support
• Schedule: Variable:
• • Two twelve-hour nightshifts per week
  • One onsite twenty four-hour shift once per two weeks
• EPIC EMR with on-site: Medical Social Workers, Dietitians, Clinical Pharmacist, Diabetic Specialists, Hospice & Palliative Care Specialists, Phlebotomist, Behavioral Health, In-house Controlled Substance Management and Chronic Care Coordination Teams

• Lake Sacajawea, directly across from St. John Medical Center is in the heart of Longview. A gravel trail circumnavigates the lake and is just under 4 miles and can offer a quick, refreshing break on a busy day.
• Our community is just a short one-hour drive to the Pacific Ocean.
• Longview and the neighboring community of Kelso have a combined population of ~110,000 residents. Our area has many locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, brew pubs and national chains such as Target, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart. • Initial Salary guarantee will be based on years of experience: $131,000.00 – $154,000.00
