PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington is seeking an MRI Technologist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Evening position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $43.24 – $64.39. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Details of the position:
- This position will be scheduled Wednesdays through Fridays 1130-2200, and Saturdays from 0900-1930.
- Responsible for performing all routine and specialized MRI procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
- Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems. Recognizes and ensures additional study and examination techniques are applied when abnormalities are present.
- Operates MRI scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
- Applies the ACR Guidance Document for Safe MR Practices to ensure patient, visitor and caregiver safety.
- Performs other patient care activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers’ scope of practice, training, experience and license/certification/registration.
What you bring:
- Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology, or equivalent education and/or experience as required for obtaining certification/license/registration as required by State for clinical practice
- Minimum of 1 year previous experience preferred.
- Demonstrated venipuncture competency
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, procedures, physiology, and human cross-sectional anatomy
- Demonstrated competency in computer-based programs as they relate to MR applications
- PACS/RIS knowledge
- Required Upon Hire: ARRT - Radiography or ARRT - Magnetic Resonance Imaging or ARRT - Sonography or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or American Registry of MRI Technologists Certification
- Applicant must be currently ARRT registry-eligible and/or currently participating in the SW Advanced Imaging cross training program.
- ARRT (MR) certification is required within 6 months of hire.
- Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Washington state Radiologic Technologist license required at hire.
