Description
PeaceHealth has an opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join on our Gastroenterology team at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington.
Primary worksite is Bellingham, Washington, but travel to secondary PeaceHealth worksites in Sedro-Woolley, Washington and Friday Harbor, Washington may be required.
This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. There may be more than one opening on this posting.

Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner: Within scope of practice and in alignment with both hospital staff bylaws and PHMGs physician supervision expectations, responsible for advanced level of nursing evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing and monitoring medications and follow-up care for patient. Responsible for patient and family teaching.
Physician Assistant: Under the direct supervision of a physician, the Physician Assistant is responsible for caring for, treating and triaging appropriately, patient's medical, physical and psychosocial needs.
