PeaceHealth is seeking a Concierge - Volunteer Services for a Part Time, 0.60 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $15.50 – $23.26. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Provide excellent customer service and facility information/directions by greeting those who enter the premises and ensuring their needs are met.

Essential Functions

  • Provide exceptional customer service by standing visibly in the lobby to greet guests, patients, employees and vendors.
  • Act as resource for lobby volunteers. Provide assistance to others that will ensure positive, professional customer experience.
  • Give clear directions to persons and/or provide escort services to the desired location.
  • Identify, issue proper ID, and direct vendors with appointments to the proper location.
  • Support volunteers with the delivery of mail and/or flowers in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintain adequate supply of wheelchairs in the lobby areas. Facilitate and/or provide wheelchair transportation as needed.
  • Call Environmental Services and/or other various departments for assistance when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Measuring temperature of caregivers, providers, patients, vendors, and visitors.
  • Documentation and logging of data in a computerized tracking system.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

  • Preferred: Customer service, concierge or related experience

Credentials

Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. (Required)
  • Ability to give clear, concise directions. (Required)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. (Required)
  • Basic computer skills (Required)

Working Conditions

Lifting

  • Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Sedentary work.

Environmental Conditions

  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.

Mental/Visual

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
