PeaceHealth is seeking a Supervisor Facilities Maintenance for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $38.38 – $57.58. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Supervises facility operations at assigned facilities to ensure efficient and safe operation of all building systems, including but not limited to, the physical environment, fire life safety systems, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, medical gases, and HVAC. Supervise assigned maintenance staff and manage vendor relationships to maintain building system in alignment with local, state, federal, and PeaceHealth standards.

Details of the Position:

  • Supervises and coordinates daily activities of assigned staff.
  • Trains new employees on proper facility procedures and safety protocols.
  • Develops and implements maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Facilities team members to effectively plan work orders, including materials management, task estimating for budgetary approval, and customer communication.
  • Manages inventory of supplies and equipment and coordinate procurement and vendor management as necessary.
  • Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to facility’s standards and regulations.
  • Verifies and maintains accurate records of regulatory maintenance and repair activities.
  • Manages and ensures compliance with all authorities having jurisdiction, including but not limited to: CMS, Federal Accreditation Agencies, State Health Departments, and local and state building authorities.
  • Acts as liaison between authorities having jurisdiction and PeaceHealth leadership as assigned.
  • Collaborates with external contractors and vendors to maintain buildings and systems.
  • Assists with developing and monitors departmental budgets to ensure cost effective operations within the approved budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

Education

  • High School Diploma Required: . or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience and
  • Bachelor of Science Preferred: 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years Required: Relevant facilities experience. and
  • Minimum of 2 years Preferred: Facility management experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.

Credentials

  • Required : Drivers License and
  • Preferred : Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager by the American Hospital Association.

Skills

  • Knowledge of facilities, safety and current issues related to employee safety regulations as well as state local, and federal regulatory agencies to ensure continued compliance as necessary. (Required)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. (Required)
  • Understanding of HIPPA, safety, and security regulations as well as the ability to liaison with city, state, county and federal officials. (Required)
  • Ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic and evolving environment. (Required)
  • Proficient in MSOffice applications. (Required)

Working Conditions

Lifting

  • Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Sedentary work.

Environmental Conditions

  • Predominantly operates in an office environment.

Mental/Visual

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
