PeaceHealth is seeking a Clinical Supervisor Behavioral Health for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $48.66 – $73.00. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring the overall services in assigned area, developing quality and performance indicators, gathering data for analysis as well as ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services and stewardship of resources. Responsible for staffing and scheduling. Also responsible for taking leadership position related to referrals, admissions, length of stay, discharges and development of the therapeutic program, relying on evidence-based, culturally responsive and trauma informed practices. Provides operational leadership and guidance to mental health clinicians in assigned area. Works with the management team in creating a culture of support and respect, patient safety, healing, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Details of the position

  • Links mission into day-to-day work, focuses on meeting organization/departmental targets, monitors productivity and budget variances and recommends or develops plans for improvement; assure regulatory compliance.
  • Recommends selection of staff and monitors and evaluates performance and accountability of staff. Evaluates competence and initiates performance improvement plans to develop staff, provides meaningful and constructive feedback. Responsible for hiring, discipline and termination of clinical staff. Responsible for acknowledging and celebrating successes.
  • Works with leadership to assist in the development of policies, procedures, and enhancements to the delivery of services, and operations of the department. Develops and implements guidelines and practice for the Social Workers and Therapists.
  • Supervises all aspects of care delivery related to social work and counseling.
  • Is part of the Behavioral Health Unit leadership team which may include the Nurse Manager, Medical Director, Behavioral Health Manager and/or Service Line Director.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with the larger mental health community and with all aspects of PeaceHealth Behavioral Health.
  • Manages patient flow through the service, ensures services are provided in compliance with all regulatory standards, departmental policies and procedures and ethic codes of individual discipline.
  • Will provide direct patient care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Master's Degree Required: in a related field from an accredited college or university 

  • Minimum of 2 years Required: Acute psychiatric experience within the last five years and
  • Minimum of 3 years Required: Community behavioral health experience and
  • Required: Demonstrated strong leadership abilities and

Credentials

  • Required : Clinical Social Worker Required Credentials in State of practice and
  • Required : Drivers License and
  • Required : Basic Life Support
