PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center is seeking a Rehab Therapist lead for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $48.66 – $73.00. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned area. Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines met, and service excellence provided in all aspects of work. Subject matter expert. Regularly communicates with Rehab or Home Health Therapy Manager.

What you will do:

  • Assigns work; plans and manages priorities, provides technical assistance, oversees staff schedules, monitors quality of work, monitors team projects, mentors staff, provides constructive feedback, oversees staff training, ensures quality improvement, provides leadership feedback on staff performance, and assists with goal setting for the team.
  • Engages team members in daily problem solving and conflict resolution. Informs manager or clinical coordinator of any issues.
  • Completes patient treatment according to plan of care and modifies plan to meet patient needs, updates plan as appropriate.
  • Completes documentation that is timely, accurate, meets regulatory requirements and is within professional standards.
  • Coordinates and supervises clinical internships
  • Facilitates and coordinates successful completion of clinical competencies and coordinates in-services.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals as necessary to ensure smooth continuous care of the patients. Acts as liaison with nursing, medical and other therapy staffs to facilitate problem solving and coordination of other services and act as an educational resource.
  • Mentors and provides oversight to new caregiver, therapist assistants, and therapy aides. Provides clinical instruction and training to students.
  • Recommends and participates in development of new services and programs, quality improvement and monitoring activities

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's, Masters or Doctorate Degree Required: Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech and Language Pathology or Audiology
  • Minimum of 3 years Required: Experience as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist or Audiologist in a hospital rehabilitation setting
  • Required Upon Hire: Physical Therapist license State of Washington or
  • Required Upon Hire: Occupational Therapist license State of Washington or
  • Required Upon Hire: Licensed Speech Pathologist State of Washington
  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
