PeaceHealth is seeking a Acupuncturist- Hospice for a Part Time, 0.80 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $30.83 – $46.23. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

Provides individualized, safe and efficient care to patients working within the scope of practice as an Acupuncturist. Assesses symptoms for appropriateness of acupuncture, administers treatments, and evaluates responses. Works collaboratively with all other healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization.

• Assess patients who may benefit from application of evidence-based acupuncture.

• Provide or arrange appropriate interventions consistent with hospice policy, physician orders and the interdisciplinary plan of care.

• Administer acupuncture when ordered by a physician to alleviate symptoms and distress in the final stages of life.

• Accurately assess and communicate patient/family progress and needs to others involved in care.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Accredited Program Required:  National Certification Council for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)

• Required : Drivers License and reliable transportation plus proof of auto insurance and

• Required : Acupuncture in the state in which the caregiver will be practicing and

• Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support.
