Looking to be a part of a dynamic, collaborative Acute Therapy team?Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend is seeking an energetic Occupational Therapist!
We have 7-9 Occupational Therapists staffed each day, so there’s plenty of opportunity for collaboration and mentoring.Our OTs work very closely with the other members of our 65-member Acute Therapy team, including Physical Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists; but also with Physicians, Nurses, Medical Social Workers, Care Managers, and many other healthcare professionals.
Our OT treatment area boasts a full ADL kitchen, training bathroom and gym space for fine motor/cognitive training.We also have a beautiful rooftop garden/patio overlooking the river that is used for patient treatments on those sunny Oregon days.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced Acute Care environment treating patients with a wide variety of conditions, covering the Orthopedic, Neurology, Surgical, Medical, Oncology, Pediatric, Cardiac and Intensive Care Units.
Responsible for the evaluation of patients, determining plan of care and goals of treatment, participating in treatment of patients participating in treatment of patients within the scope of Occupational Therapy. Provides oversight to therapy assistants and students in following the plan-of-care and treatment of patients appropriate to the age of the patient served; provides supervision to therapy aides and volunteers. Works collaboratively as a part of a patient care team toward the best outcomes for patients.
