PeaceHealth is seeking a Psychologist for a full-time, day position. Position is based at PeaceHealth's Pediatrics Clinic in Eugene, Oregon. 

The Psychologist will work in an integrated care clinic model with kind, warm and supportive Caregivers who value and respect each other. PeaceHealth has nine Behavioral Health clinics in the Eugene area with professionals committed to quality care and excellence; team members from all of our locations collaborate and support each other.

JOB SUMMARY 

Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned area. Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines met and service excellence provided in all aspects of work. Subject matter expert. Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, formulating documentation, and implementing treatment plans addressing the mental and behavioral health of patients. Provides case management through triage, referrals, provider consultation, therapy sessions and outside agencies. Provides clinical consultation to staff. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  1. Assigns work, plans and manages priorities, provides technical assistance, oversees staff schedules, monitors quality of work, monitors team projects, mentors staff, provides constructive feedback, oversees staff training, ensures quality improvement, provides leadership feedback on staff performance, and assists with goal setting for the team. 
  2. Provides initial assessment of client concerns and focus of treatment. 
  3. Performs and interprets psychological testing. 
  4. Provides counseling services and follow-up per patient care needs. 
  5. Collaborates with other providers and/or treatment team to ensure best outcomes. 
  6. Provides education to patients and families. 
  7. Provides clinical consultation to staff as appropriate. 
  8. Performs other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS (required unless otherwise noted) 

Education: 

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field considered equivalent by the State’s Board of Psychologist Examiners is required. 

Experience/Training: 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as licensed Psychologist. 
  • Three years experience in a psychiatric treatment setting preferred. 

License/Certification: 

  • Licensed Psychologist in the state of practice (i.e. Oregon, Washington, Alaska) required. 
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification may be required at date of hire. 

Other Skills: 

  • Ability to provide general counseling services and/or specialized services for all ages.
