PeaceHealth is seeking a Painter - Facilities for a Full Time, Variable position.  Hourly compensation starts at $36.08, more depending on experience.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs all job functions generally associated with the painting trade.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Serves as a mentor and provides instruction and training to fellow caregivers on safe and proper painting activities.
• Estimates material needs and develops purchase requisitions.
• Performs all general basic maintenance and repair tasks as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Post high school painting apprenticeship or other equivalent formalized training preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

• Five years of commercial painting experience or equivalent

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

• Valid state driver’s license

OTHER SKILLS:

• Basic computer skills required.
• Good visual color discrimination

PHYSICAL COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

• Work requires active, physical exertion less than 66% of the time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work requires frequent exposure to conditions involving toxic materials or hazardous waste.
• Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
