PeaceHealth at RiverBend Medical Center and University District Medical Center is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Associate Medical Director of Hospitalist Services. Our Hospitalists are a proud and progressive group who work collaboratively and share the goal of providing safe, individualized, and compassionate care. The Hospitalist group consists of approximately 50 full-time employed providers.

Opportunity Details:

  • Will work closely with the Medical Director to provide consistent leadership, promote a culture of trust, build relationships, and foster an engaged Hospital Medicine Group aligned with the mission, vision, values, strategic goals and organizational aims of PeaceHealth
  • Support Hospital Medicine services at RiverBend & University District (including, but not limited to attending ad hoc meetings, responding to clinical issues/concerns, etc.)
  • Foster effective working relationships and helps facilitate resolution to problems
  • Empowering leader who supports clinical autonomy
  • Supervise and/or lead quality improvement initiatives for the Hospital Medicine Service line, working closely with the Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs
  • In conjunction with the medical Director, develop and institute a robust 360 annual evaluation structure and process. Participate in Hospitalist mentoring and serve as a Liaison to Hospitalists requiring individual support, coaching and/or redirection in keeping with established Hospitalist Medicine performance expectations and PeaceHealth behavioral standards, as delegated by the Medical Director
  • Interface with Medical Directors of other service lines to collaboratively develop/update co-management and service agreements, and proactively work through concerns and issues that may arise
  • Supports and models behavioral standards, Caregiver and Leadership Models and helps ensure the achievement of clinical services goals
  • Shared responsibility for sponsoring and responding to clinical questions for Advanced Practice Providers in the Hospital Medicine program.
  • Actively participate in recruitment and new hire onboarding.
