PeaceHealth is seeking a MD System Service Line Director - Cancer Care for a Full Time, Day position. 

Medical Director System Service Line Cancer Care across PeaceHealth Hospital System

Position:

PeaceHealth seeks a Medical Director responsible for the System’s Cancer Care Service line. This clinical care expert will coordinate with each of PeaceHealth’s three geographic networks and with affiliated nationally recognized cancer programs to build a standard operating model, identify growth opportunities, expand the cancer care workforce and put in place the infrastructure for collaboration across the networks. This successful leader will have the ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups to build common incentives and develop awareness of program value to our communities.

PeaceHealth is a 10 hospital vertically integrated health system in the Pacific Northwest. Organized as 3 discreet networks across Oregon, Washington, and Alaska; it serves as the primary health care delivery system in each of its markets through its hospitals, 1200 member employed physician group, affiliated provider practices, Home Health & post-acute services, multiple payor partnerships, CMS’s Direct Contracting program, a single instance of Epic’s electronic health record, and extensive telemedicine services.

To continue to meet the needs of cancer patients throughout its networks, PeaceHealth is enhancing existing services while evaluating partnerships with nationally recognized advanced cancer treatment entities to ensure patients have access to cutting edge research and consultation, can participate in advanced diagnostic programs and clinical trials; while allowing the majority of patients to continue to stay and receive care close to home.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified in an oncology related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience practicing medicine in Cancer Care.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in program leadership and/or physician practice management.
  • Licensure as a physician in the state of practice.
  • Federal DEA number.
  • Medical staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at a PeaceHealth medical center/clinic.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, Excellent verbal, negotiation, and written communication skills, particularly with key stakeholder groups such as physicians, other clinicians, and quality improvement staff.
