PeaceHealth is seeking a Electrician - Facilities for a Full Time, Variable position.  Hourly compensation starts at $40.12, more depending on experience.


Continuously exemplifies the mission, values and customer service philosophy of PeaceHealth in job performance and in relationships to others. The medical center electrician will be responsible for performing medical center electrical duties as directed in a safe and approved method.


  • Assists with preventative maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility’s electrical system.
  • Oversees and coordinates the annual inspection of all electrical power distribution centers and panels.
  • Assures proper documentation of all electrical work.
  • Performs all work requests as directed or needed.
  • Performs inspections and operational functions on emergency generators.
  • Performs electrical motor replacement and repairs.
  • Coordinates, tests, and inspects the fire alarm and protection systems.
  • Communicates appropriately with the person served regardless of their age.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


  • Minimum of three years journeyman electrical experience is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local and state electrical codes and standards, as well as National Electrical Code (NEC) is required.
  • Healthcare electrical maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Completion of 16 hour asbestos removal training is preferred.


  • State Electrical License preferred.
  • Valid Washington or Oregon State driver’s license is required


  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work.
  • Must be able to operate powered and non-powered hand tools.
  • Must use proper verbal communication skills.


  • Work constantly requires active physical exertion less than 66% of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Work requires frequent exposure to conditions involving toxic materials or hazardous waste. Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids once per month or more.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
