PeaceHealth is seeking a Radiology Lead for a Part Time, 0.88 FTE, Day position.  Hourly compensation starts at $43.87, more depending on experience.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned area.Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines met and service excellence provided in all aspects of work. Subject matter expert.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Assigns work; plans and manages priorities, provides technical assistance, oversees staff schedules, monitors quality of work, monitors team projects, mentors staff, provides constructive feedback, oversees staff training, ensures quality improvement, provides leadership feedback on staff performance, and assists with goal setting for the team.
  2. Assist in the investigation of incidents, workflow issues, patient complaints and physician relations.
  3. Provides assistance in implementing new procedures or processes, explains new and/or revised procedures, forms or other tools to staff.Demonstrates new systems, applications, equipment or supplies.
  4. Maintains and enforces departmental programs, policies, procedures and protocols.Monitors compliance with standards, identifies variances or inabilities to meet established targets and suggest corrective actions.
  5. Assist with new hire orientation, training and completion of competencies.
  6. Interacts and communications with physicians, support staff and other health care professionals to facilitate departmental operations.
  7. Provides patient services, performs patient examinations and assists in the procedures consistent within scope of practice and license/registration/certification.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Graduation from an approved school of radiologic technology or ultrasound technology as required for modality of hire.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of two years clinical experience in trained modality
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s need
  • PACS/RIS knowledge is required.ImageCast/CareCast experience is preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Certification by one of the following: the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration to practice in trained modality as required by the State
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
  • Must have modality specific credentials (i.e. must be CT or MRI Registered if applying for an MRI or CT Lead Position)

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment
  • Ability to utilize Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to utilize general office equipment such as telephone, facsimile, photocopier, etc.

ST. JOESPH PHYISCAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires active physical exertion up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.
  • Reasonably anticipated exposure to blood and body fluids.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (34-65% of work time).
