Job Description


PeaceHealth is seeking a Community Health Coordinator for a Part Time position.  Hourly compensation starts at $23.42, more depending on experience.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

**The Community Health Coordinator will live in Oregon, Washington or Alaska

  • Excellent interpersonal and outward facing communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Outstanding organization skills incorporating Excel, MS Teams and automated forms.


Assists the Network Community Health Director and is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation and tracking of community health programs, projects and initiatives, and for supporting the development work of the Clinically Integrated Networks. Scope of work will include participating in meetings, events and activities; community health and CIN outreach efforts; maintaining of relationships and scheduling with local community benefit organizations, employers and insurers; interfacing and liaisoning with hospital service-lines and community stakeholders; assisting with updating dashboards and monthly reporting systems; overseeing network Housing Hotline. Role is responsible to ensure that PeaceHealth’s Mission and Values and PeaceHealth Community Health pillars are appropriately extended to all interactions with the community. Responsibilities include the support of any community health related projects as designated.


  • Plans and executes community outreach and educational events, including but not limited to health fairs, consumer education events, fun runs/walks, anniversary celebrations, open houses, speakers bureaus, “talk with a doctor” events, consumer targeted health symposiums, etc. Develops strategies and tactics, working closely with event customers, to identify strategic/practical needs for each event and recommend options for meeting those needs.
  • Coordinates provider, broker, and employer outreach efforts, including continuing education activities of which may require certification. This may include, but is not limited to, continuing education events, provider symposiums, etc.
  • Ensures consistency and impact of the brand presence for PeaceHealth through appropriately branded and displayed banners, signage, caregiver apparel, display boards, giveaways, survey forms, presentation materials, handouts, etc.
  • Prepares preliminary budgets of estimated expenses and projected income for each project and ensure approved budgets are met as executed.
  • Develops and monitors highly detailed work plans, schedules and budgets for all aspects of events. Obtains customer and director approval. Maintains records for archival and follow up by others.
  • Coordinates with key stakeholders for internal communication and media notification about planned special events and/or sponsorships with local communications specialists to ensure events are appropriately communicated and ensure special events are appropriately promoted through targeted channels and within scope of allotted budget
  • Coordinates measurement evaluation efforts as it relates to provider and consumer outreach activities to ensure efforts are effectively supporting marketing objectives including but not limited to increasing patient volume, improving provider engagement and referrals, etc.
  • Maintains positive relationships with community, volunteers, medical staff and caregivers.
  • Assists with curriculum and communication material development, room reservations, and catering for events, course offerings and classes. Maintains website for course offerings.
  • Manages multiple projects.
  • Coordinates and support data entry and information gathering for community benefit into CBISA (the community benefit tracking system) for the Oregon Network including all hospital locations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Associate’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field is required or equivalent education and/or experience.


  • A minimum of three years marketing experience including experience in a health care environment required.
  • Solid understanding of marketing applications in a health care provider setting preferred.


  • Solid understanding of marketing applications in a health care provider setting.
  • Proficient with computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient writing skills to communicate to internal and external customers and assist with copy writing as needed.
  • Knowledge of the health care delivery system; hospital and community-based.
  • Proven ability to synthesize multi-source data into actionable information.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and presenting using computer based applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in an effective manner.
  • Ability to deal with complex organizational environments; high tolerance for ambiguity and change.
  • High level of project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility and forge lasting relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to garner support and engagement within the across stakeholder groups, both internal and external.
  • Project management, organizational skills and presentation abilities to emcee/host special events is required.
