PeaceHealth is seeking a Director of Nursing for PeaceHealth St. John Hospital

Position:

PeaceHealth seeks a Director of Nursing in our Longview Washington facility that will be responsible for providing leadership over Care Management in a 346 bed, level III trauma center. This Leader will be directing nursing practice and clinical functions for assigned nursing units to develop, promote and implement clinical services as a nursing professional practice environment for its journey to Magnet. They will ensure that exceptional medicine and compassionate care is delivered with a strategic plan in the rebuild and enhancement of the Care Management platform. They will partner closely with internal stakeholders and community leaders to evaluate and enhance Patient Care Programs. With strong technology understanding this Nurse leader will help develop better utilization of the EMR system and create more opportunities to advance as a cohesive team. PeaceHealth is a 10 hospital vertically integrated health system in the Pacific Northwest. Minimum Qualifications:

• BSN is required, Master’s degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare is required within two years of hire date.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• A minimum of five years nursing leadership experience is required.
• Experience with collective bargaining units is preferred.
• Previous experience working with clinical teams and physician groups to reach consensus highly preferred.
• Certification in specialty is required within three years of date of hire.
• Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
• Excellent critical thinking skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively, respectfully and responsibility in a collaborative manner with multiple demands and short timelines is required.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications are required.
• Demonstrated leadership ability is required.
• Knowledge and experience in developing programs is required.
• Demonstrated success in operations management and financial management is required.
