PeaceHealth is seeking a Program Manager Service Lines - MSO for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

At this time this position will be performed fully remote.  If telecommuting, PeaceHealth will provide the caregiver with necessary computer equipment.  It is the responsibility of the caregiver to provide Internet access.  Must reside in Washington, Oregon or Alaska.

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Hospital/physician A/R experience
  • A/R Management experience
  • EPIC experience
  • Project Management experience

JOB SUMMARY

Oversees the coordination and administration of assigned aspects of ongoing service line specified programs, including planning, organizing, leading, and implementation and monitoring. Manages initiatives, business relationships, program development, integration activity, and general project management activities. Ensures all functions are performed accurately and are consistent with current policy, practice, and vendor contracts. Under the direction of service line leadership, serves as the primary contact point on assigned activities with direct interaction with sites, networks, and functional leaders. Responsible for evaluating the ongoing use and performance of services, programs, and processes. Works with a diverse group of caregivers to successfully plan and execute projects/programs, ensuring alignment with the Service Line improvement priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serves as project manager for assigned Service Line programs and project management activities. Service Line programs may include process improvement initiatives, major operational initiatives and other programs within the Service Line division
  • Meets regularly with Service Line leaders, operational partners and other stakeholders to map drivers, determine metrics for measuring success, align planning efforts and monitor status.
  • Manages the full life cycle of projects from planning and analysis through implementation. Manages multiple projects and teams.
  • Provides reports to executive, leadership and oversight teams on program status and initiative progress. Service Line program manager manages the scope of projects, including client priorities, resource needs and successful execution. Identifies barriers as they occur and works Service Line, networks and site-based teams to resolve.
  • Coordinates information from multiple data sources and educates leadership and staff in the interpretation of information. Evaluates performance of services implemented, advising leadership on those findings and recommending strategies to improve services.
  • Assists leadership in the development, maintenance, monitoring and enforcing of department policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinates internal teams and vendor partners for on time, quality deliverables within budget.
  • As requested, leads specialty collaboratives for the ongoing improvement, education and completion of tasks related to specialty collaborative priorities.
  • Collaborates with system service line executives to facilitate project or program implementation. This includes leading interdisciplinary teams of physicians and care providers to develop new and innovative ways of delivering high value care and supporting clinical and operational redesign, such as new models of business evaluation, and, care delivery reorganization within the service line. Provides leadership in adaptation and adoption of methods that enable the organization to accelerate improvement across the service line.
  • Coordinates information pulled from multiple data sources and educate leadership and staff in the interpretation of information.
  • Meets with network and community leadership, and other key customers and stakeholders, to develop strong working relationships that foster the development of improved clinical and work processes. Works with senior leadership to develop, align, and implement strategic and operational planning efforts; collaborating with counterparts and colleagues as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience required
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification or additional training in project management, adult learning, organizational development, or performance improvement preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of five years project management experience in a healthcare setting; preferably hospital or health system is required
  • Experience managing complex programs and projects, specifically with a focus on quality improvement activities is required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Project Management Certification required within two years of hire.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Ability and skills to lead, facilitate, design, implement, and measure improvement projects and programs under senior leadership direction on a wide array of initiatives.
  • Experience working with virtual teams and ability to navigating a large, complex organization with multiple business or service lines
  • Extensive (up to 25%) travel within the organization’s communities is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and people skills.
  • Strong organization, analysis, software aptitude, and communication skills (both written & verbal) are required
  • Ability to work both independently and interdependently with staff and team members with limited supervision
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proactive and assertive conflict resolution skills.

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
