Job Description


PeaceHealth is seeking a Reimbursement Team Lead - Cash Posting for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.  Hourly compensation starts at $19.37, more depending on experience.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

At this time, due to COVID, this position will be performed fully remote.  If telecommuting, PeaceHealth will provide the caregiver with necessary computer equipment.  It is the responsibility of the caregiver to provide Internet access.

 Must reside in Washington, Oregon or Alaska.


Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day functions for assigned areas. Assists with ensuring that departmental goals are achieved, timelines met, and service excellence provided in all aspects of work. Subject matter expert.


  • Assign work, plan and coordinate priorities, provide technical assistance, oversee staff schedules, monitor quality of work, monitor team projects, mentor staff, provide constructive feedback, oversee staff training, ensure quality improvement, provide leadership feedback on staff performance, and assist with goal setting for the team.
  • Plan and facilitate priorities at the DMS Huddle Boards
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement by coordinating staff training including adjustment/creation of Tip Sheets and maintenance of department training grid.
  • Perform daily cash posting and reconciliation of payments, adjustments and rejections from private and third-party payors as needed for ME/YE/PTO coverage.
  • Review Credit Balance Accounts for commercial, patient and regulatory payors for proper resolution
  • Process and reconcile accounts receivable including rebills, adjustments, and corrections as needed to resolve credit balances.
  • Monitor quality and separation of duties for deposits in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Process and monitor the electronic remittance files to ensure accuracy
  • Research and prep missing payments and payments posted incorrectly identifying payor trends, escalating and coordinating with Process Specialist for enrollments
  • Resolve work lists and other reports as assigned in a timely fashion.
  • Review quality of caregiver work and team projects providing leadership feedback on staff performance, and assist leadership with goal setting
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


  • Minimum of three years’ experience in payment posting and insurance account follow-up required.
  • Experience with EPIC preferred
  • Skills in problem solving, organizational and time management
  • Professional leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of basic accounting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines




  • Proficient in use of 10-key
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to think analytically
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written


  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
  • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.

Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
