Job Description


PeaceHealth is seeking an Applications Systems Analyst Associate to support Periop Apps. Salary range is $58,000- $88,000, depending on experience.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

** Remote position. Associate Analyst will live in OR, WA, AK by start date. 

The ideal candidate will have Epic OpTime / Anesthesia interest and/or experience


Responsible for the day-to-day application support needs of our internal customers. Researches and investigates the business processes within the department.


  • Consults with customers to understand workflows, processes, and gathering business requirements to support the business needs. Translates business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Identifies and resolves issues under moderate guidance and supervision. Partners with peers and Sr. Analysts to reach resolution. Builds relationships with customers and business partners by following through on minor to complex tasks to ensure proper resolution.
  • Reviews work daily to establish priorities and distinguish important and urgent tasks with moderate guidance.
  • Troubleshoots and thoroughly documents application issues, business requirements and workflows and prepare and communicate solution design options.
  • Participates in testing, performs the tests and debugs the application to ensure the system functions as designed and meets end-user requirements.
  • Maintains system documentation in an up-to-date and orderly manner. Assists in the development of support documentation for end-user guidance, per department standards, and submits system changes following department change management procedures and protocols.
  • Performs application support activities in accordance with defined procedures and processes under moderate supervision.
  • Analyzes, investigates, troubleshoots and responds to support tickets via phone calls, emails and ticketing system with guidance of Analyst or Sr. Analyst as needed.
  • Provides troubleshooter on-call support (day/evening) on a rotational basis.
  • Participates in analysis and design projects as requested.



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, clinical, or business discipline;


  • Equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience, required.


  • One year related business experience with ability to work on information technology projects facing PeaceHealth is required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience working with software and hardware technology including designing, configuring, training, or implementing applications, through job experience or education.


  • Epic certifications  preferred.


  • Experience with MS Office applications.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and complete assigned tasks according to established timelines and deadlines
  • Demonstrates flexibility to pivot with changing priorities or managing multiple tasks at the same time.


  • For positions that required Epic Application Support: Epic certification/experience highly preferred; may be required within a specific time parameter post hire.


  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
