PeaceHealth is seeking an Applications Systems Analyst Lead - Testing Lead for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

** The Lead Analyst will live in Oregon, Washington or Alaska by start date.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for resolving both internal and external issues while providing technical leadership and project process guidance. Solves user’ issues while coaching other team members to do the same. Oversees the support of the systems and supports the department's workflow to assure quality, precision, and timeliness of outputs and efficient use of resources. Supports application lifecycle management and a consistent portfolio of application services, including a roadmap, service levels and development and the enrichment of business relationships associated to those services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supports leadership during incidents or outages and supports the management of critical and long-standing issues. Supports leadership in organization of response and direction in identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving application performance issues and follows through to track root cause analysis resolution. Works with the team to achieve satisfactory resolution and supports the planning and implementation of changes to reduce the recurrence of problems.
  • Acts independently as a technical project lead on medium to large and complex projects. Independently leads and conducts project discovery. May act in the project manager role for small to medium sized projects, specifically for projects involving system optimization, new applications implementation, or major system issues/upgrades.
  • Develops estimates for application costs associated with projects. Includes any alternative considerations, installation of new systems or equipment, or any changes to existing systems and equipment. Understands the cost/benefit analysis to provide information to project stakeholders and leaders.
  • Develops work plans, technical project plans, schedules, and project task items. Prepares and presents routine project status reports to all project stakeholders. Assists with identifying resource needs for analysts, developers, system administrators, end users, consultants, and equipment.
  • Serves as the key Business Relationship Manager for supported services. Develops relationships and partners with business customers to understand their needs, provide guidance for technological solutions and prioritizing requests.
  • Researches and keeps current on technology trends, consults with internal and external connections and recommends appropriate solutions to serve customers and PeaceHealth. Serves as an escalation resource and supports the team in the analysis and investigation, troubleshooting and response to routine and non-routine requests.
  • Participates in project resource estimation and governance processes, including architecture review. Maintains awareness and oversight of the progressions of the projects within the team’s responsibilities.
  • Educates customers and teammates on the PeaceHealth governance process and principles, ensuring adherence to the process. Provides tailored communications to different dynamics and agendas, understanding and responding appropriately to the concerns and needs of others.
  • Engages in transformation initiatives, learning new processes and workflows developed in TSP. Identifies training opportunities and provides education and training to the team to support change management and PeaceHealth priorities.
  • Manages the approval and upkeep of support plans; validation of requirements, test plans, and rollback plans to support manager’s approval process, monitoring the adherence of best practices and procedures for the department.
  • Assists leadership team with the development of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and processes to ensure clear understanding and compliance. Develops systems to organize the department's workflow that assure quality, precision, and timeliness of outputs and efficient use of resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, clinical, or business discipline OR Equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience, required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of six years’ working with information systems with strong, demonstrated project management skills required.
  • Healthcare industry information systems experience preferred.
  • Significant experience with software or hardware technology including designing, configuring, or implementing applications required.
  • Healthcare operations background is preferred.
  • Experience with clinical or business workflow analysis for development of electronic solutions required.
  • Experience organizing and managing detailed information and demonstration of leadership skills, formally or informally.
  • Experience with ongoing application support and application optimization.
  • Experience working on increasingly complex projects with no supervision.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Certifications relevant to supported applications preferred.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office and Backoffice client applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge and ability to leverage different methods or techniques for gathering requirements and identifying solutions for problem solving.
  • Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

REGION/LOCATION SPECIFIC NOTES

  • For positions that require Epic Application Support: Epic certification required upon hire. Maintains requirements for certification and latest version of training.

PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
  • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
