PeaceHealth is seeking a Prog Dir DEI Restorative Justice Practices for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

JOB SUMMARY
Directs, controls and is accountable for DEI Restorative Justice Practices. Provides system-wide leadership in the practices of restorative justice. Facilitates, trains, and coaches organizational stakeholders on conflict resolution using equity-minded and restorative justice practices. Develops long and short-term business strategies, operational plans and oversees implementation. Manages the design, structure, development and planning issues within scope of direction. Responsible for quality, service and regulatory compliance for areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Develops, implements, and integrates restorative justice practices and principles, coordinating across the organization to ensure sustainability.
  2. Seeks to provide mindset, culture, and climate shifts through restorative practices. 3. Researches and analyzes evidence-based and data-informed system-wide equity strategies and practices to implement across departments.
  3. Develops and manages a system to respond to incidents regarding matters of internal conflict using restorative justice principles.
  4. Models a relational approach to interacting with staff, working explicitly to build relationships within the community.
  5. Performs restorative justice inquiries as needed to decipher if a restorative process is appropriate. Coaches and empowers employees at all levels to deal with conflict equitably.
  6. Develops, implements, and maintains affinity spaces for members of systemically excluded populations, and equity learning spaces for members of the dominant community.
  7. Establishes and facilitates community-building engagements and restorative circles as proactive measures across departments.
  8. Facilitates training and coaching for leadership and staff on restorative practices, meaningful restorative conversations, and techniques for managing conflict.
  9. Schedules and manages mediations, restorative circles, and other appropriate processes in response to internal conflict.
  10. Communicates with leadership to direct implementation of restorative practices across departments.
  11. Provides resources, coaching and professional development to staff to improve relationships and collaboration in the workplace.
  12. Collaborates with the DEI team and partners to design and deliver restorative justice training content centering racial equity.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university is required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
  • Minimum 7 years progressive training in restorative justice, conflict resolution, or mediation required.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and anti-racism.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating conversations around racial equity and examining systemic inequities within the organization.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams including people with a range of awareness and sensitivity to racial equity issues.
  • Excellent communication skills including a commitment to direct and empathetic communication.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver interactive trainings and presentations for adult learners. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability.
  • Experience and comfort working in collaboration as a part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt and engage in a fluid and dynamic work environment.
  • Exemplary organizational skills.
  • Experience working in collaboration with human resources and legal when matters are escalated.
