Description
PeaceHealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a Full Time position at Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. This is a 1.0 FTE Night position working four 10-hour shifts each week, 9pm-7:30am. Requires (3) month’s experience in Sterile Processing, or completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Course, or CRCST/CBSPD certified.
Hourly compensation starts at $20.75, more depending on experience, and a $3.50 night shift differential. Eligible for comprehensive benefits package.
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for operating autoclaves and other equipment to clean, decontaminate and sterilize instruments and equipment, including power equipment as applicable. Also responsible for inspecting and assembling instruments, trays, and packs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
QUALIFICATIONS (Required unless otherwise designated)
A minimum of (3) month’s experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, or completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Course, or CRCST/CBSPD certified. (3) month’s experience as a Veterinary Technician, Dental Technician, Surgical Support Aide, or other medical related technician role whose responsibilities included cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation may also be considered.
