PeaceHealth is seeking a Electrodiagnostics Technician - Exercise Test Lab for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Variable position.  Hourly compensation starts at $19.61, more depending on experience.

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

JOB SUMMARY

Assists the physician in performing exercise stress testing on the patient.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Assists physician with stress testing.
  2. Performs scanning and analysis of ambulatory rhythm monitors.
  3. Processes transtelephonic event-recording data.
  4. Interprets and edits EKG data. Reports test results.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (required unless otherwise designated)

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of one year in similar position preferred.
  • Successful completion of arrhythmia identification program.
  • Background in cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and electrophysiology preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • CCT (Certified Cardiographic Technician) preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.

COMMUNITY/LOCATION SPECIFIC NOTES

SHMC - if working in Holter:

Minimum of two years of Holter scanning and analysis required.

Processes, analyzes and interprets Holter and EKG data.

SHMC - if working in Treadmill:

Minimum one year recent treadmill testing experience required.

RIVERBEND PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent eye/hand coordination and ability to concentrate for long periods of time. Bend/push/sit/stand/walk and lift up to 35 lbs. on occasion.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs. on occasion.
